ABOUT ME
The More You Know
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
My parents came to the U.S from Mexico close to 50 years ago for a better life, job opportunities and to live the American Dream. They worked hard every day and instilled strong family values, work ethic and respect for one another. Seeing my parents work ethic inspired me to do the same in my life experiences and it has helped achieved many accomplishments my family was not blessed to do. I am the first member of my family to graduate High School, join the Military, Graduate from College and Run for Public Office. My American Dream is my Parents American Dream. Joining the United States Navy has been the best thing I could have done as an eighteen-year-old. My life journey has been full of obstacles, naysayers and non-believers but not once has it stopped me from believing in myself. Jacksonville Beach has been really good to me and I want to pay it forward.

URBAN TRAILS
I support the idea of a trail that residents can use around our beautiful beach. However, certain sections of the trail can be scaled down or put on hold to accommodate the needs of our residents. I believe citizen input is paramount, and it is why sections of the trail have not been built.
PENMAN ROAD PROJECT
I believe any improvements to the road are always good, especially if it addresses pedestrian crosswalks and bike lanes. In addition, addressing our drainage problem on penman road is necessary and must be put underground. I am not in favor of having long lengths of medians on penman road, but I am in favor of the multiple pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks that will be widened and or fixed.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Public Safety is very important to me and its imperative our police department has every tool necessary to combat crime. The past four years I have approved new police vehicle purchases including an armored van, I have supported and encouraged any additional training officers were seeking to get. Many municipalities around the country were restricting officers on what crimes to deter but in Jacksonville Beach, I have done the opposite and will never restrict our officers from doing their job. Recently, our police department is now the highest paid agency in Northeast Florida. Right now, is the time to stand united with law enforcement and decry any groups and individuals who are for de-funding the police. Stand with me and support our first responders.
